Oi, by “this” I think I mean get distracted. I just finished yet another “final” edit. This time I cheated a bit. I got help from my new “best friend” Claude. Claude is an AI platform. I’m loving it. What “prompted” me to do this? (If you know anything about AI you’ll get the pun, for the rest of you, a prompt is the question, instruction, whatever you type to get a response.) I found a screaming error all by my lonesome. There was a “.T” that should have been a “. T” as in Look at the period. There it is. As I write this, I get a glaring squiggly red line under “period. There” because it needed a space. Why didn’t this show up on my text editor? I dunno. Maybe it did and I missed it.
Some of you will see the problem right away for sure. Where else did I not put in a space. For a whole book like this, checking every sentence would be a huge effort for me or any human. For Claude? It’s a cinch. He found a few other issues – all quite minor except for one really rather embarrassing inaccuracy – I wrote King James authorized the KJV of the bible because he wanted a divorce. Ahem! That was ol Henry VII. It’s fixed now. The beauty of an ebook is, once I upload the change, the old version is replaced by the new… or it can be with almost zero effort.
Meanwhile, back at the typewriter or not, I’ve been dealing with other stuff, related but not directly as of yet. So I’ve slacked off on the Godly Habits a bit. I’ll be back.
God bless,
Andy
