It’s probably safe to say no one longed for launch day for “Life Insurance “Dirty Little Secrets” for Consumers Revealed!” than yours truly. Indeed it wouldn’t surprise me to learn I was the only one longing for the launch of this book. After all, it is about life insurance. My experience suggests it is a back burner issue at best for most people. Those who are most keen on buying life insurance are usually those who recently had a near-death experience or who’ve been diagnosed with something dire. Trust me on this one, these are not the times to be thinking about life insurance! So I rather expected most folks to yawn “whatever” about this book. I’ll do my best to pique some interest, not because I want to sell more books but because this knowledge could change so many lives for the better… and not just when someone dies. So what about that life lesson I learned?
Well, earlier in the week, I had plans. I was going to work on and maybe submit an article or two to help generate some interest. I was going to post something on the blog about today’s launch. I was going to write a better description for the print version of the book. None of these things got done. Life got in the way. Of these tasks, the description for the book is most crucial as I won’t release this book for print until I finish this up. It may take a day or two. The other things on my to-do list, meh, I’m not sure if they would have had much, if any, impact at all. But the lesson I learned, well, I hate to say it but it directly relates to the purchasing of life insurance.
Life gets in the way. Like I said before, life insurance is far too often a back burner issue. This is why so many people keep putting it off. If the article, “Why Women Don’t Buy Life Insurance“, I posted about recently is at all accurate, a lack of knowledge and solid understanding of life insurance accounts for much of the “whys” also. Personally, I believe it is a combination of things. Those two I just mentioned plus so many are lulled into inaction because they think they are properly covered and they are not. One former classmate posted on how her father thought they were covered through work and were shocked to find out how inadequate that coverage was. These things do not need to happen.
Look, we all get busy. I get that. So many things demand our attention every day. The simple fact is, no ten-minute fix exists for obtaining life insurance. Even those “simplified” applications for final expense insurance typically requires an hour or more (usually longer if I was the agent) to complete. Unless the final expense route is your only option, it’s going to take more time. My book will save you loads of time because simply reading the just over 100 pages will help you filter out 90% or more of the stuff you can eliminate. You can narrow your search to 2-3 insurance carriers and one, maybe two, products. Granted you’ll need to weed out maybe ten possibilities but the criteria I recommend helps you quickly toss out those that don’t meet your needs. Now out of over 2,000 carriers offering life insurance each with up to eight or more different polices and options – doesn’t make sense to boil it all down to the handful that can really meet your needs with a simple policy that takes care of your most pressing needs?
Life Insurance “Dirty Little Secrets” for Consumers Revealed! will save you time. It will save you money. And in the end it will protect you and your family from the added stress of the financial burden of an unexpected death. Best of all, if everyone in your family lives long, long healthy lives, your policies will grow to offer some substantial financial security in your latter years, IF you act early and buy wisely. This book will show you how to accomplish these things.
Once again, the lesson I learned… again, is life often distracts us from our best intentions so we don’t always do those things we mean to do. For me and this book launch, the consequences aren’t terrible. At the very worst, a few people may skip buying the book and never learn the benefits of buying life insurance – at least how I show the way. Hopefully, they’ll take another path leading them to the same result. For those of you reading this, I beg you, take action. Learn about life insurance for you and your family. You do NOT have to buy this book to learn what you need to know, but for a measly $4.99, it can save you hours of research and possibly from making some terrible mistakes. I can verify both. Even with eight years of being a life licensed agent under my belt, I spent many, many hours researching these topics and sifting through tons of information to condense it all down to a slim volume anyone can read in a single sitting. I’ve performed countless policy reviews where policyholders learned their insurance was not at all what they thought they had. Whether they had outstanding loans, (term) policies scheduled to end, or even polices with carriers in dire financial trouble, they learned the sad truth the hard way. (Note here, while there is no way to predict any insurance company – ask AIG – will encounter financial hardship, there are ways to track your carrier so you know what might be coming and take action.)
For those of you who do buy the book, my sincerest wish is you find it exceptionally helpful enough to move forward and take care of the life insurance needs of you and your loved ones right away. If you still have questions or would like to offer feedback, please do so.
