Update: I’ve been working on my new book “Your Manifest Purpose” to the exclusion of almost all other writing. It is now being fully scrutinized by beta readers. Meanwhile God has not relented from showering me with new insights. To be fair, a lot of what God is showing me is stuff I should have known all along. Don’t you hate that? Do Not Be Fooled. There Is No Escaping God’s Calling!
God has called me to write and publish this book “Your Manifest Purpose“. Now that doesn’t mean I couldn’t have ignored His calling. Instead, I could have written other stuff, or abandoned writing all together and binge on “Law and Order” or some other mindless series. Or I could go fishing. Instead I answered God’s call and wrote the book and He has blessed me for it. So far I’ve seen some awesome insights into His Word as well as a sneak peek into what will soon happen in our nation and all over the world. Wait! What?
No, I’m not going all “prophetic” on you. Rather God has granted me a glimpse of what to expect. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock (not “THE ROCK” for sure!) you know we are in the “end times”. Heck, since I first came to Christ over 40 years ago, I expected Jesus to come back any moment now. I was wrong! Now I know. Jesus is NOT coming back – at least until:
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Hasn’t that already happened? Apparently not, seeing as Jesus is nowhere in sight. Now here’s where I feel like I’ve been granted a little “inside information”. This preaching of “the gospel of the kingdom” will be accentuated by an outpouring of God’s spirit. Again, this information is neither new nor exclusive to yours truly.
Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Later on Peter expounded more on events of “the last days”:
2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
This is where the world is at right now “Where is the promise of his coming? “, but the tide is turning. Our Heavenly Father has graciously bestowed a purpose upon me – to publish this book to reach many of my brethren in Christ.
